DESTA BLACK YOUTH NETWORK

Based in Little Burgundy and serving participants across Greater Montreal, DESTA is a charitable organization that empowers Black youth between the ages of 18 to 35 to reach their educational, employability, and entrepreneurial goals through a holistic and individualized approach.

Founded in 2006 with a mandate to focus on the employability needs of Black youth in Little Burgundy, an integrated strategy was adopted to address both systemic and personal barriers to employment, such as justice involvement, housing, and lack of resources.

DJ SPORTS CLUB INC.  

DJ Sports Club, a non-profit charitable organization founded in 1996, is one of the largest youth clubs in the South-West, Brossard, and Verdun boroughs.

The focus of DJ Sports Club is Basketball, Education, Social & Technology. While teaching essential life skills, mentorship, and engagement with our community, we strive to incorporate pride, passion, and fun in all our programs that enhance the overall development of children (age from 5 to 17 years).

UNION UNITED BAND PROGRAM

Union United Band program was formed in the Fall of 2007 with the goal to develop and maximize the musical potential of youth and adults.

The program not only nurtures performance skills on the various wind, string, and percussion instruments but builds self-esteem and enhances the ability of students to work together.

Learning music facilitates creativity and discipline and taps into multiple skills that children use.
